I'm not sure how each and every time but somehow my trips to Vegas always seem near perfect. If only I could win more. Alas the wondrous resorts can't be built without the faithful making the pilgrimage and donating to the Wonder in the Desert.
Specific Highlights:
1) The Mirage. I hadn't stayed there before so I was really looking forward to it. The room was very nice and larger then many of the other rooms I've stayed in on the strip. At 20 years it is getting a little long in the tooth, for Vegas, but still has a very special feel of understated glamour and opulence.
2) Winning $30 at the Wynn. Take that Steve!
3) Dinner at Gaylord. One of the best Indian meals I've ever had. (Thanks Mom and Dad).
4) All the personal time I got with my parents together and one on one. Things flowed really well. There were times when we were all together and I had time with each of them while the other was off on their on gambling fix.
5) Getting up in time to see the sun rise. I don't make a habit of being awake for a sunrise so it's really nice to catch one now and again and it is made even more special in the desert. I highly recommend it.
It's back to reality now and a few more gallons of water to get my body back to normal.
