Well somehow I made it this far

Oh My Goddess!!!

Somehow, regardless of how I have abused my body for many years, I have made it to 40. To celebrate I have finally given up smoking. This is day one but I REFUSE to have another cigarette no matter how miserable I am or how bitchy I become with those around me. : )

It's insane to think I'm 40, that's like 14600 days. I haven't updated my self image since about 22. Forty years old!! I am in utter disbelief. I must say it's been an incredible run so far. Here are some highlights....

Visiting Italy, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Chile, Mexico, Malta, France, Spain, Germany, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Seattle, Las Vegas, Yellowstone, Maine, Massachusetts, Florida . I've worked in many different industries, Advertising, Environmental Consulting, NOAA, Financial Investments. I've driven across the country in 45 hours. I've experience so many highs and lows. I have loved and been loved. I have tried to truly live and not be a spectator in life. I believe that we learn and experience more from our mistakes and taking risks then by playing it safe.

Beyond all that I have seen and done so far my friends and family are the greatest things on this planet and in my life. I have no idea what I have done to deserve such incredible relationships but they have made the whole journey possible and rewarding. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of the special people in my life.

Many thanks to all of you and I look forward to our journeys yet to come!
