Life takes a 90 degree turn

It is probably more accurate to say that life presented me with an intersection and I took the 90 degree turn.

We (those that live at 2121 148th St. SW) have been notified that the property is being sold to a developer and we will need to move out. Thankfully because rezoning and such takes time we have at least 7 months to determine where we will call home in the future.

After many many years of dreaming about sailing, I have decided it is time to give it a real attempt. I now have a 12 month plan to purchase and move onto a sailboat!

There are many many many questions that will need answers, much research to be done and more learning then this old dog has done in years but you can teach old dogs new tricks.

Stay tuned for more info and feel free to ask questions, they might help me figure things out!

Hey, man!

This calls for an entire shopping SPREE to get for you all the sassy little sailing outfits that you are now going to need! Eeeeeee!

Just so you know, I'm thinking along the lines of Skipper, NOT Gilligan; but I DO think one of his nifty white hats would look just spiffy on you.

You've been talking about this for so long! I think it's great that you're taking steps towards a long-held dream.

Have you looked into ways you could get involved in sailing recreationally now? It might be a good way to get involved with the sailing community and learn a lot along the way.

(And meet cute sailors!)
