Blessed Yule to you and yours

Tis Yule eve. Tomorrow brings the rebirth of the Sun God and is also the time we celebrate the change of the Goddess from Crone to Maiden. Thankfully we don't live in a time where the weather affects us as much as it did in the long ago, that is unless you currently live in Western Washington where we are still cleaning up after 70+ MPH winds from last week which knocked out power to over 1 million homes. Tomorrow was a very special day in years gone by. People knew that winter was half over and that with the increasing light they would be warmer and food could be planted soon.

My Holiday wish for you all is that you get to spend it with friends and family celebrating life and challenges you have overcome.

May the returning light bring with it warmth and happiness to every aspect of your life.

40 really is just like 39

Can you imagine my surprise?

Yes 40 is very much like 39, at least for me so far and after just 1 month. Sadly I must admit to still smoking. I had a few weeks where I was smoking much less but in the last couple of weeks it has started creeping up again. I'm still committed to quitting it just isn't going as I had planned. Oh for the folly of youth.

I can't believe the year is almost over and we are smack in the middle of the Holiday season. Somehow I have managed to get at least half of my Holiday shopping done already, much earlier then previous years. Maybe 40 is better then 39.

At least with this post I'm back on the blogging roll again. More posts soon.
